Why do you work in Nutrition: My interest in health and wellness is truly a passion. My philosophy about my practice is that services should be simple, realistic and attainable. My holistic mindset is balanced with modern western training and understanding. It is my goal to work cooperatively with physicians and other healthcare practitioners to treat patients holistically. Most importantly, I listen to my patients. We work together to find health and wellness solutions. I am here to help you understand why your body is reacting in certain ways (or is not reacting). I will help you develop lifestyle habits that will be beneficial to your complete mind-body wellness.

Personal Achievements: I have appeared on NBC’s The Today Show, The View, Rock Center, WLS-TV (ABC Chicago), WMAQ-TV (NBC Chicago) and more. I have been interviewed by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Social and Michigan Avenue magazines and have been featured on radio shows around the country, including Sirius-XM radio, Chicago’s 101.9 The Mix and Healthy with Hart and the Sports Medicine Show with Dr. Brian Cole on ESPN radio. I have been sponsored by Athleta, Infinit Nutrition, Betty Design, Zico and Sugoi. In 2013, I was selected to be on The Ironman Foundation Newton Running Triathlon Team. I have lectured on diet and exercise throughout the country and have been published in numerous articles and journals.

Out of the office, I am a 6x Ironman Finisher and have completed over 15 Half Ironman including top 5 finishes in both distances. Numerous podium finishes in international distance triathlons, time trials and road races. In addition, I have competed in 10ks, half marathons and marathons.

What is VQ to you: VQ means so much to me both in and out of sport. Their healthy approach to workouts, nutrition and off the bike conditioning makes for well rounded athletes. I like the 8 week development phases and always evolving workouts, it’s a perfect place for any level athlete to push their limits, achieve better health and just have fun. VQ has been like a family to me, I have developed friendships that will last a lifetime.

What can clients expect when working with you:

I work with my clients as a team to increase their awareness and knowledge of nutrition and how it impacts their daily and athletic lives.

Favorite Pastime when not training or coaching: Spending time with my three teenage boys, researching/reading sports nutrition articles, wine and traveling.
